Logging off

This morning I was sure I was going to gempost about all the bad, relentless, unwanted advice I am seeing on Mastodon lately about how to use Mastodon, how to be an admin, it's "inevitable" future trajectory, etc etc. But it turns out I don't really want to write about that. I did end up using my computer today on my day off work, but I wasn't logged-in and "online" in the usual way. And the more I wasn't "online" the less I really cared about all that. I went for a run. I did three loads of washing. I finally took two suits to the dry cleaners that uh, really should have gone there a while ago. I cooked beef shin and lime rice. I did some minor code maintenance.

The thing that frustrates me the most about the recent influx of new people - the thing that all the Journalism Professors and other Opinion Havers don't seem to understand - is that a big shouty "town squear" was awful for my brain, which is why I left Twitter. I guess what I need to re-learn is that maybe I just need to log off more often.
