I went on a camping trip this past weekend. The first one in a long while.

I feel like you often hear people talk about how refreshing it is to just disconnect for a while and relax but it really doesn't mean anything until you try it yourself. I will say though that those people aren't wrong. It was a great time all around, and despite being absolutely exhausted I do feel more 'ready to go' mentally. I even thought up a few ideas while I was out there for some personal projects I've been working on recently.

My phone is a Pixel 4 which has an astrophotography mode. I hadn't had a chance to try it out before and I managed to get some neat night shots while I was out and playing around with it. The photos of course won't beat anything done with a proper night photography setup (especially with the smokey conditions brought on by the fires on the west coast), but they're still darn impressive for a phone!
