Subtle Pranks

I've been having some fun lately helping a family member get some harmless, subtle revenge on some extended family driving him crazy.

I had the idea of having him frame some stock photos and hide them among all their other photos of friends and family. He took it a step further and somehow found a chance to scan a few of their framed photos to send to my wife and I to edit. We sent the new and improved versions of the photos back to him last night and he'll be making the swap with the originals today.

One of the photos I touched up was a simple background swap of a family photo. Decided to subtly change it to somewhere they've never once been: Rome's Pantheon. We'll see how long it takes them to notice (if they ever do).

My wife came up with my favorite edit. One of the photos she was working on was of one member of our extended family standing in front of a cactus with his foot up on a boulder. She copied his face onto the cactus, tinting it to blend in and replacing his nose with a tiny cactus arm. Then she also gave the cactus arms and hands reaching forward and grabbing him by the shoulders. It sounds completely ridiculous (and it is!) but she executed it so well that I think it'll still take them a while to notice the changes.
