< new user!!! woohoo!!

~detritus

I like to fantasize about programming things; big, ambitious things. Like a user interface that combines the two-pane view of mc, with a command-shell interface and vi keybindings, which can work on file-trees, edit text (and binary) files and also display and manipulate image files like you would edit textfiles, all programmable kind of like emacs but using something more similar to smalltalk, or elixir.

But I never end up doing any of that.

~bartender! Please give me a cold ginger tea, with a teaspoon of honey. Get ~jammin something on me, too.

~bartender, to be specific, I'd just like a Shirley Temple.

I definitely feel you there.

If I had a nickel for every time I've had an ambitious idea, I'd have millions of dollars.

Most of my ideas gravitate towards the development of video games. Like a low-poly space exploration game, a game similar to Minecraft, numerous Sonic fan-games, and so many more. I wish I spent more time on them so they could actually become cool finished projects, but I always just end up losing the motivation.

I've got the ability to make them, just not the ability to work on them for more than a week without it becoming what feels like a chore.
