Ok, with that out of the way ...

Simon and Garfunkel --- immediately triggers flushes of pure nostalgia. Oh my. My favorite song of them is Scarborough Fair. But that is an unimportant detail.

My all time favorite genre is Jazz, Dixieland Jazz, Big Band Jazz old (like Count Basie) and new (like Peter Herbolzheimer Rhythm Combination and Brass; or like the Vienna Art Orchestra :) and a whole phletora of not so famous albums in this genre

But then: I came across the album "Hold me, Thrill me, Kiss me" by Gloria Estefan. And although it is rated Pop, I really like the first two songs. Well, this vinyl album was recorded in 1994, which might explain something.

A very important album for me a few years back was "As time goes by" by Chet Baker (1990).

An important album for me now is "Caravan" by Carlos Santana (1972).

But I have far too many and too diverse (Frank Zappa? Conlon Nancarrow? Astor Piazolla? Quadro Nuevo? Orphy Robinson? ... whatever) albums and CDs to even start listing.

Cheers!
