Graduation Day

~milf_god

Yeah ~bartender lemme get a whole bottle of strawberry hennessy...thank you. I'm gonna need it.

Well I finally did it. 6 years in college and I finally graduated. I'm done! I'm free!...but I expected to feel a little happier during the ceremony and when I was being handed my fake diploma, but I kinda felt nothing? Maybe having to sit outside in a drizzle in the middle of a tornado watch has something to do with it, but I didn't feel as happy as I believed I should have? I mean, obviously I'm glad to finally be done w/ my college career but something feels...off. I mean, after being in school for so long it probably hasn't hit me yet that I don't have to attend classes in the Fall in the first time in my entire life. But right now, I just feel exhausted.

Maybe when I finally land a job and have the means to move out then things will start to finally sink in for me? I don't know things just feel kinda bizarre right now. Surreal even! Not necessarily bad, but certainly hard to describe. I guess for right now, I should just look forward to getting a well deserved rest and summer vacation!

Congratulations! I remember that feeling really well, so I'd say yeah, it starts to sink in when a change of pace (like getting a job) happens. Being freshly graduated at first felt more like yet another summer vacation like every year before, before a whole new thing happens and you suddenly realize that the old thing is in the past forever.

For now - congrats and enjoy your well-earned rest! Hooray!

Any hopes on where the degree might take you?

That\s the point. It will take a while for the overall tension to "fall off". Been there, done that :)

Take some time off if you can, it will be a rare chance once you start work.

~bartender? That strawberry hennessy ... it's on me. And be sure to have loads, it's free for everyone to join the crowd.

Bravo, milf_god!

Cheers!

Well done.

Relax, breathe, think. You'll figure it out.
