Midnight Pub

Cyberpunk

~firefliesblueskies

I don't know if I'm just starved for human contact with how the world is nowadays, but I played it for a good 8 or 9 hours last night and honestly I've felt more emotion for the characters than I've felt for anyone in a long time. Jackie is instantly a close friend, when honestly I have few if any IRL.

I'm excited to play. My four year old entry- to mid-level GPU is not.

After a few months of patches roll through I'll pick it up. Probably.

I've been trying to ignore this because the developers and artists were subjected to months of all-but-mandatory unpaid overtime, because it's probably still got a metric shitload of bugs, and because I never got around to finishing The Witcher 3 or The Outer Worlds. But I'm glad you're enjoying it.

Good fiction is supposed to make us respond to the characters like real people, and my limited start to *Cyberpunk* (only about 30 minutes in) leads me to think it's really good fiction.

Plus, as you say, with how the world is nowadays, it would be worse if you did have lots of human contact. That's not what we're supposed to be doing right now.
