Spring Break in northern GA... for what it's worth

~shiloh

My mom called me the other day, said she and dad and my brother are headed to Georgia to stay in a little cabin our friend owns. She asked if I wanted come; they could pick me up on the way.

So here I am, sipping peach tea as the air grows cooler around me. I'm on the porch, and as I've been typing up an essay (I don't actually have a spring break for college this year, so I have work to do), the sky has been changing its streaks from blue and gray to red and pale purple, now black. I'm so stoked to be here. I've had some good chats with Mom and Dad and my brother. Now I'm just typing whatever I can about Dogen, hopefully until I get to 5 pages. I don't think there are many better places to write about Zen. The only sounds are the creek and the squirells.

Hope y'all are having a good evening too, cheers!

It was a wise decision to take their offer. Everyone needs quiet time with nature to reset.

Sounds divine, Shiloh! Writing while being in/around nature is always the best. Enjoy!

I suspect I'm not the only midpubster appreciative of word-mediated empathy facilitation!

I mean, you had me on "peach tea". But, oooh la la: "little cabin", "streaks from blue and gray to red and pale purple, now black".

And I'm talking squirrels instead of opossums notwithstanding! ;-)
