Limiting the Lifetime of Social Media Posts


I turned on “Automated post deletion” on Mastodon. The reasons of why I think a limitation vs. posterity is a good thing have already been detailed by me a couple of days ago.

Iʼve set the limitation to 90 days, as explained in the post linked above.


I didnʼt limit it when I registered for a Mastodon account some days ago, because I wanted to settle in first and then decide if I want to make irrevocable changes. But reading about many people complaining about Mastodon and its differences to Twitter encouraged me to do the right thing.
