I've been involved more and more with open-source and free software lately. I really enjoy the philosophy of my contributions being usable by everyone (and not only for the benefit of a single for-profit company). Back in August, I wrote:
> From now on, I will strongly encourage my customers to publish all software that I write under a copyleft license. If they are not receptive to my arguments, it means that our values are not aligned and that we should question our partnership.
After playing with the idea for a while, I finally informed my biggest customer that starting in January 2024 I will try to exclusively develop free software (which will more or less stop our cooperation).
I have been more or less involved with Forgejo since its inception and I need to complete the work for which a grant has been awarded:
And apparently, there are some German institutions interested in funding specific developments.
I had two contract works, which were released as free software at my request. They are both in a working state but could need some polishing and fine-tuning.
Once polished, I may look into offering them to other institutions, which will hopefully be interested in further developments.

I have quite a strong knowledge of Go, PHP, HTML and Javascript; I am used to working remotely but open to regular on-site visits (as long as it is decently reachable by train from Munich).
