I use dwm and swarp, and I hung out in #suckless on OFTC for a while pretty recently actually, for a few weeks. (I am sandra on OFTC and tilde.chat.) I didn’t know about all this bad back history.

I think dwm’s source code is amazing. Free from a lot of the cargo cult coding style hangups of the corporate world. Yeah... I know the phrase “cargo cult” is ultimately colonial and patronizing. We need a better word for it because I see it all day every day here in our own culture.

But there’s a lot of stuff in suckless that is just messed up. A web server that doesn’t do https!? SOBER UP!

But what’s the nazi stuff? I never heard of “bitreich”, just searched for it now and it is separate from suckless.

Ene guy in Suckless does host some things there. He also has a GTK theme called “Murrine-rape”. :(

I’ve talked quite a bit with him the last few years and I suddenly & quickly soured & took a break from their irc channel when I found that theme. :(

Not saying whether or not bitreich is nazi shit, the word “reich” still is in common use in German for “realm” buuuut they don’t give me the best of impressions.
