ubject: Issue with lynx --source and gopher menus with h gophertype
gopher://:/
reetings to all,
have noticed that lynx2.9.0dev.5 when converting a gopher menu to HTML
e.g. by using `lynx --source gopher://gopher.zcrayfish.soy/1/irc') when
gophertype h is encountered and an hyperlink/anchor is generated for
aid type h resource... If the directory delimiter used is the file
ath part of the URL is '/' (as-is typical for most machines these days),
he first one will be omitted in the HTML output.
ere's an example URL:
opher://gopher.zcrayfish.soy/1/irc/lynxtest2
n my example I included a gophertype h file repeated three times with
ommonly used directory delimiters: forwardslash (/), backslash (\), and
olon (:), like so:
sixel.5.html
ynx --source converts the gopher menu to this:
HTML) <A HREF="//gopher.zcrayfish.soy:70/hirc/lynxtest2/sixel.5.html"
ITLE="sixel.5.html">sixel.5.html</A>
HTML) <A
REF="//gopher.zcrayfish.soy:70/h%5circ%5clynxtest2%5csixel.5.html"
REF="//gopher.zcrayfish.soy:70/h%3airc%3alynxtest2%3asixel.5.html"
n the first example, lynx omits the first / delimiter from the anchor.
t does as expected when \ or : is used.
hanks,
achary L. Andrews
