My Astrobotany Plant Memorial Gallery

I like Astrobotany, a geminispace text-adventure game about harvesting plants. Whenever a plant in my garden reaches its end of life, I copy a picture of it here before I harvest it, to keep them all in good memory. My current plant is visible here:

Well, to be honest, the cactus you see here isn't Sarah, my first plant in Astrobotany. At the time I harvested her, I haven't yet thought about making this gallery. Nevertheless, she was a cactus, and she looked similar to this one, which I copied from another user's garden. Well, I guess, she looked exaxtly the same, since this is ASCII-art. Maybe it's a silly idea to make this memorial gallery at all, but hey, it's just for fun.

Evan was a pachypodium with golden petals. He gave me much coins to buy stuff and discover different features in Astrobotany.

Oh time, where have you gone? Looking at Linda, this strong and tall Baobab, I wonder how quick time passed by. She was just a seedling, and suddenly she was big and seed bearing. I even almost missed her flowering time. There are two reasons for this, on the one hand, I had less time to visit my garden, on the other hand, the plants grow faster with every generation. Thankfully other gardeners helped me out with watering her, thanks again to all of you!

Well, finally it happened: The plant growth rate turned so fast while I was running out of time, so that my sunflower dried out. On the one hand a pity, but on the other hand, that's life. Now I can start over again, probably with a slow and calm 1st generation plant again. Nevertheless, thank you, user "astroangel20", who watered my plant before it died!

Farewell, William!

age : 60 days

As I wrote last time, I started over again with a 1st generation plant. Jonathan was a nice and easy to handle fern with violet petals. In total I got six petals from him, which boosted my karma up from 58 to 76.

Now the relaxing times are over, my next plants will grow faster and faster again. Will I end up the same as last time, with a plant drying out due to lack of time to handle it, and starting over and over again? Yes, it seems to be that way, so let's do it. It feels a little bit like Sisyphos rolling his rock on the mountain over and over again. Albert Camus wrote, that we should consider Sisyphos as a happy person, since he accepts his absurd situation and nevertheless doesn't give up.
