 The advice "never talk to the police" is usually good advice.

 They need permission to search your vehicle.
 If they say something about searching your vehicle,
   say you don't consent to searches.
 If they search your vehicle anyway and they find stuff they'll arrest you over,
   someone needs to claim it as theirs, or everyone in the vehicle will get arrested.

 This two things might be worth discussing with anyone in the vehicle you're riding in.
 BEFORE some blue lights show up in the rear-view mirror.
