I've been talking with ~mieum (rtc, colorfield space, etc) about making music lately. We both used to make a lot more of it. I have been finding that even just talking about it has me enjoying listening to music more than I had been. I have picked up a guitar a few times in the last week (for the first time in a long time) and I've been thinking about getting back into field recording around my home. It feels good to be playing a little bit again. I have an album of old unreleased material coming out this year through a friend's label and I think I may try to get my chops up again and figure out a way to play some of the songs live if we ever got back to a place in the world where that is a thing that people do again. I'm hoping I can figure out a way to get time away from work and family to do a small pacific northwest tour and have my friend back me up running samples/electronics and playing bass. Could be fun.
