I have never really written anything since school, and even then I don't believe I ever wrote anything relevant, I guess this makes it my first attempt at writing. I've been wanting to write for a while now, but when it actually came to sitting down and picking up a pen, I never knew what to do. My crippling lack of creativity did not help. I then contemplated keeping up a journal, but the motivation never lasted more than a few days, and somehow the idea of a bedside daily log seemed strange. Why should I force myself to write exclusively before going to sleep ? Why should I impose such constraints on MY urge for writing ? I also found that I don't really like writing by hand.

I never considered opening a blog, it felt a bit pointless. What would I be writing about, and for whom ? Where would I host it ? I don't necessarily want to be read, but isn't that the whole point of having a blog ? That's when I accidentally stumbled across Gemini.

Gemini is the practical implementation of what I have been daydreaming of recently. On one hand, today's web seems doomed to be an application distribution platform for companies and advertisers organically built upon a file sharing protocol : it is an absolute disaster. The result is that in order to lookup some text files, I now have to launch what is essentially a virtual machine consuming half of my computer's processing power and dodge a myriad of trackers, ads, prompts and pop-ups. Although, I guess saying this on Gemini isn't very controversial. On the other hand, I was looking for a platform that would allow me to store my ramblings. Doesn't it make Gemini the perfect match ?

So, it seems as if I had solved my issue regarding writing; all I had to do was to write about my issues regarding writing ! Even though it leaves me now wondering what I will write about next time...

See ya

Psst ! If you've actually read this, then HI ! How are you doing ? And have a good day !
