They accepted our offer on the little house! All signed for realsies! Now we wait for the scheduled home inspection next week to see what needs to be addressed. It should be minor, the house is simple and has been maintained. Something about the furnace needing a cleaning and checking the crawlspace. Our realtor really likes this one guy and we have an appt booked for next thurs.

Realtor says this is a miracle and "someone is looking out for you". Damn straight. To slide in as the only offer at asking price with a va loan and have it accepted on a modest home in this market. I think our realtor really talked us up to the agent/owner.

I won't get myself too worked up until we sign the scary $$$ papers. Things could go sideways still. But the house is currently off the market "pending sale" and that's the important thing. I truly don't think we could do much better. I hope spouse likes it.

I am hanging with the kitties right now. Our friend has a cat and he is very butthurt about the interlopers in the office, but as long as our cats stay in here (and only Cat is interested in escape) all should be good for a couple weeks. It's rainy and kind of nasty. Slush and glazed ice everywhere. I slipped on the ice last night, but nothing too terrible. Just an "oh yeah, ps, the shiny ground is untrustworthy." Good times.
