What are we giving up for lent? Seems like we gave it all up last time and never got it back.

Why don't we give up the Internet that was taken away from us twenty years ago and take back the Internet we staked a claim to before that, before many of you were even alive, much less on line.

A year or two ago some of the Tuxheads on YouTube were suggesting that what we need to do is migrate off the Plain Vanilla Web of http back to Gopherland. The Gopher Protocol was created about the same time as http, and, strange to say, is still maintained. Now Gemini has been launched, Space Gopher, if you will, and, as you can see, I am using it here.

Shall I have forty entries by Easter? That might be worth doing.
