While on the boulder, I've been practicing several exercises to improve my performance, such as:

1 - Climbing backwards horizontally

2 - Using corners to hang myself in a balanced posture

3 - Advance horizontally looking for joining the feet in the same rock and flexing the knees

The first one seemed difficult at first because I was relying on the strength way to much but I relied on the balance instead extending my arms and putting my hips closer to the wall (butt looking backwards) and it became way more easy. It finally worked but I exhausted myself trying to figure out this. The second one was way more complicated than expected, and not -entirely- due to strength but mostly about balance. This was disappointing to me, since I honestly believed that balance was my less weak point among the climbing techniques. I only was able to handle the wall in the way I wanted twice, out of 6 times in a row. The third one went better than expected but I wasn't able to jump from that position to grab another rock. I knew this but I tried, nevertheless (you never know).

In any case my future personal trainer called me today, we will set up dates and hours soon for the boulder training so I expect myself to be better on these once I get to ask about them to this person.
