One of the stranger things to come out of this strange time has been the cancelling of Goya foods because their president said the US is "blessed to have a leader" like Trump. I agree that that is weird and gross and so does everyone's favorite House member, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. I came across this recipe (which was a tweet) as a screenshot on Facebook, so I'm not going to link it here. The important thing though is AOC googled "how to make my own adobo" and two minutes later a friend of hers sent her the recipe. Apparently the "ginger is controversial, but worth it" -- and since I'm now getting dangerously close to foodblog territory with all this text before the recipe, here it is:

4x salt

1x paprika

1x cumin

1x celery powder

2x garlic powder

1/2x ginger

1x chili powder
