The dangers of hackers

===============================

The term hacker is often thought to be a man in a sweater, hunched over a computer,

clicking away at a terminal. This is often not the case, as a lot of hackers look

like ordinary people, going along a normal life. But as far-fetched as it may seem,

there are even good hackers, called "white-hat hackers" who are hired to hack systems.

But, for every good thing, there must be an inverse for the worst.

Just today, I was playing an online multiplayer game that was nice until a but that hacks

into people's accounts came. In this case, the bot made it impossible to leave unless you

gave the brutal alt-f4. On top of that, it would chat as you, spamming in the online chat.

This was, although annoying, a gag bot that (I assume anyway) was meant to make content.

But this is a lesser form of what could happen.

Many hackers out there could take a good helping of your money either

directly taking it or selling/auctioning your private information on the dark web for a profit,

which could then be used to even worse intentions. There are many ways hackers could do

simple things like what happened to me, but it gets extremely harder if the hackers are up

things like bank accounts or social security numbers. So never go onto sketchy websites

or games, and never tell anyone online or offline what your personal information/passwords are.
