15:28 schestowitz; Dear colleagues,
15:28 schestowitz; your Local Staff Committee The Hague met with VP1, VP4 and the administration on 13 June 2022.
15:28 schestowitz; We addressed the following topics:
15:28 schestowitz; DG1 production pressure:
15:28 schestowitz; low recruitment vs increase in filings,
15:28 schestowitz; harmonisation efforts,
15:28 schestowitz; contradictory instructions regarding teleworking;
15:28 schestowitz; Job group 5&6;
15:28 schestowitz; Education allowance:
15:28 schestowitz; siblings,
15:28 schestowitz; education portal & billing,
15:28 schestowitz; mandatory trips;
15:28 schestowitz; Skills self-assessment;
15:28 schestowitz; Back to the office: room for a day.
15:28 schestowitz; Conclusions
15:28 schestowitz; Staff Representation notes that some clarity was found on certain aspects:
15:28 schestowitz; - although permission from the line manager must be sought there is a presumption that teleworking from abroad is allowed;
15:29 schestowitz; - staff is only expected to do their best, and to work collaboratively and if there are red files remaining then this is a matter for the TM, Director and senior team working with colleagues from across the office to ensure that we have the right capacity in the right areas;
15:29 schestowitz; - no buildings will be sold[1], colleagues will have their own office if and when they want one.

20:52 schestowitz; If you want to learn about Linux, understanding its underlying file system structure is a good place to start, says Debarshi Das.
20:52 schestowitz; The Linux directory structure is laid out like a tree, with the root (/) directory being the trunk of the tree from which the rest of the directories branch out, Das explains, and these directories contain three types of files
