Summary: Today’s drunkard EPO has lowered its standards to a level no other institution would dare; the video talks about some revelations regarding part of the Administrative Council (lots more to come)

THE video above discusses what we published last night [1, 2] (yesterday my time, but past midnight CET). It shows what sort of governance the EPO entrusted the EPC to (or vice versa). It’s totally inadequate and it helps explains why corrupt officials like Benoît Battistelli and António Campinos get away with everything, even court-rigging behaviour and flabbergasting court-bashing (like kidnapping judges they don’t like). Never mind the decrease in patent quality (e.g. European software patents), enabled partly by rigging courts, even the highest ones.

“It’s totally inadequate and it helps explains why corrupt officials like Benoît Battistelli and António Campinos get away with everything, even court-rigging behaviour and flabbergasting court-bashing (like kidnapping judges they don’t like).”As a minor side point, in the video I made the error of wrongly assuming Wikipedia had been linked to Google Maps when in fact it was OSM, which is open data and much better in the licensing sense. A lot more could be said, but we try not to make these videos too long or repetitive (like repeating what was also/already covered in textual form). █
