Unemployed for the weekend

Today was my last day at my current job. Packed up all my hardware, fixed a bug and had none of my Pull Requests approved and then spent 3 hours driving around dropping off equipment to coworkers houses. A fitting way to end a questionable 2 years. I've never been the kind of person to get dragged into work politics, but that was apparently a requirement for upward movement. Eventually I had enough as it was getting me nowhere and the glaring issues I pointed out were never being resolved. They need engineers who will compensate for issues and I've been working too long to be playing that game again.

So this is the start of my last long weekend in a while. Going to relax, play with the kids and enjoy the 3 days with no responsibility. I have a new weather station to install, might actually get on my radio too. Or do a lot of chores if the weather is bad. Either way should be pretty stress free.
