rc1 pv panel frame - 2022-10-30

38 x 63 mm treated CLS frame

48 x 73 mm treated CLS supports

frame bolted to supports, supports bolted to supports. this design will allow tilting the frame should spring come round again.

SS M8 bolt, 100 mm

SS M8 washers, one after bolt, one between support members, one before nyloc nut

SS M8 nyloc nuts.

i isolated the panels before working and reconnected them again after completing the rc1 frame.

the horizontal support will need reworking to be able to tilt to lower angles. i did not have the time to fully implement this design feature for this iteration. a few months to go before i will need to change the tilt so i have time to fix this.

the weighted frames have survived >= 45 Kt gusts so far without any frame movement:-)
