i am living in a site shed/office for a few months. i had not previously used the exped air pillow ul camping and decided to use it instead of conventional pillows. trading weight for size i have the medium (m) size.
i have the exped on top of a folded blanket (good way to store stuff is to use it). this is similar to how i would use it camping: on top of folded clothes.
the exped weighs nearly nothing at 45g (pack 4g) and packs down tiny.
i find it comfortable but there again i sleep on a futon on a tatami so for me firm is good. my priorities are weight, then comfort so this ticks my boxes. i see that some reviews find it uncomfortable: usually a trade off between weight and comfort.
the material is necessarily thin but not showing wear or distress after a month of nightly use.
i have only added more air once in the last month and only to firm it up again: it was still functional but a little softer.
not a cheap pillow but for a low weight this is my best camping pillow solution so far.
of course, ymmv:-)
