catching up, again - 2022-10-09

life

todoist still my goto task help.

family house splitting project delayed a week due just about everyone involved , including me, going down with Covid. Myself and had about 3 days of illness then recovering so working again.

forty-two: progress on bathroom excellent, roof delayed due rain then roofers on other work. Electrical first fix slow due Covid illnesses. fence is up and i hope to put in the final short panel today.

september and more so october manic workload.

i've build a 15 sq m (golden ratio) cabin and am gradually fitting it out while living in it due building works. still officially a site shed/office - so could well be removed in a few months time - i will ponder change of use application. hopefully i can pick up some of my interests again.

cooking outside with air-fryer if it is not raining to avoid stinking up the cabin with cooking smells.

learning esperanto with duolingo:-) mi estas komencanto.

employment

mainly family project.

offered an opportunity to do aviation ground instruction: in my skill set since mid 1980s. i could start late oct.

computing

not much dabbling awk, rust, and now raku due other workloads but may get the opportunity again soon.

discoverd emmc modules for sbc so switching sd for emmc and may keep backup images on sd.

replaced my RPi4-2Gb with a -4Gb model:-) got a spare RPi4-2Gb and metal case begging for a project

MacBookProM1 back after repair but no time to do anything with it yet:-(

using qute browser quite a bit. vim everywhere!

on RPi Chromium seems most stable useful browser.

swiching to RPi4 for routine tasks: only running up larger pc for specific tasks.

health and fitness

first few days of covid not pleasant - from d4 energy levels started to come back by d5 working on site again outside distanced.

need to start running again, in fact need to start walking again!

still managing a few swims.

music

run up a RPi3B music server - very basic - headless ssh and mpv to shuffle play off a 1TB usb ssd. plays through ruark MR1-Mk2 with a Yamaha sub-woofer. sounds pretty good:-)

reading

need to do some again:-)
