sark camping 2 - 2021-07-28

today:

as usual my first coffee on camp stove.

5 km run.

breakfast at Hathaways again, and still good food!

10 km walk to Little Sark Dolmen, Venus Pool, Port Gorey, Dixcart Bay.

skipped swim as sun in and windy so getting warm afterwards might be a problem.

back in campsite the sun came out; of course!

lying in the sun listening to the radio.

Bluebell Restaurant again for dinner.

camping at Pomme de Chien in Sark.

i'm using a Vango Mirage 300 Pro tent - reasonable room for my 194 cm height, and i can sit up in it (just). a Terra-nova Laser Compact 1 on the way for my next trip - planning backpacking so weight is a factor and the next trip will prioritize weight rather than space. switching tents will save me 2 Kg and allow me to fit everything in my rucksack. i am a beginner backpacker so i'm still finding my way. a few other bits of kit on the way; lighter.

back to Guernsey tomorrow (Jul 29) on the 17:00 ferry.
