Writing, maybe.

Having too many links on one page makes me feel claustrophobic. So I took the writing and worldbuilding stuff I had on this capsule and moved them over to their own dedicated home:

November’s Notebook

And yet what is actually writing? I’ve jotted some stuff down in a physical notebook lately, but nothing I’m particularly satisfied with. What happened to the days when I could just shit out thousands of words without caring about quality?

Anyway, I discovered that my current text editor, Sublime, has a distraction-free mode, and I figured out how to use snippets to easily insert smart quotes and curly apostrophes (when previously I’d just been going back after the fact and find-replacing all instances, which was less than efficient). So maybe I’ll try a little harder?

Another issue I have is that the keyboard on my laptop is all janked up from years of dust and grime. Removing the keys and cleaning under them hasn’t really helped much. I’ve attached a separate keyboard, which is more *ergonomic* to type with, but not exactly comfortable for curling up in a cozy little corner to write. I’m basically stuck at my desk. It makes me feel too exposed to be creative.

Luckily, after the holidays I should have enough money to order a replacement keyboard; I’ve been in touch with my laptop’s manufacturer and they put together a purchase order for me. I just need to submit it.
