I am not a tech expert, despite being a Linux user (honestly, I'm still figuring things out after eighteen years), a free software fan (I will inconveniece myself, sometimes greatly so, rather than go back to FAANG Hell), and a Geminaut (Gemini software is very friendly, and so is the community).

I have been known to give up on getting software to work if it proves too difficult. Like, I couldn't get that SSH notes app working again for whatever reason after I moved to a new server, so I gave up. I tried and tried with GMCapsule, but I just don't get it. I almost gave up on figuring out Apache (and let me tell you, that community is *not* as accomodating to unskilled users as Geminispace), pressing onward only out of my sheer *desperation* to stick my website menu in an include, which Neocities didn't support. And that's all just this year. There is *so* much more in my history.

All of which is to say... I really don't want to give up on Tootik! Fedi over Gemini is the best idea I've seen in ages. I *want* this.

“So why not just use your account on hd.206267.xyz?” TBH... I don't like the domain. I'm shallow, I know.

Anyway…

If anyone has *any* idea what’s going on with this weird bug, please chime in if you can?
