FFXIV 6.3 thoughts

The MSQ is fine. As a certified Golbez Liker, I like how they’re leaning heavily into his way of tunnel-visioning the thing he thinks he needs to get done, never stopping to ask for a second opinion. Like, I didn’t have strong opinions on him as a character in FFIV, but that part in the After Years where he just straight-up grabbed the helm of the airship and went “Nope, no time for explanations”? That’s when I sat up and went, yep, this character is a DUMBASS and I love him.

(Never mind that there was probably plenty of time for explanations as the party traveled from objective to objective...)

The BGM for Lapis Manalis is great! If there’s one thing Endwalker has consistently delivered, it’s banger remixes of the Garlean anthem.

Sylphstep is probably my favorite Leap of Faith course. It's so much fun.

As for Euphrosyne... I’ve only done it once, but it was fun even if I spent half the time dead. Not sure how I feel about the revelations about the Twelve, though. Like why do Eorzea’s gods get to be more “real” than anyone else’s? I mean, I know they’re not “real” gods, but they existed prior to being worshipped, while no one else’s did. (Except the ones who were just regular people prior to being venerated, which... hm, so the Twelve are more like Garuda or Shiva than anything else, maybe?)

Come to think of it, actually... if Ramuh is a corruption of Rhalgr, does that mean Leviathan is maybe a corruption of Llymlaen? That would actually be GREAT, I would love that, and I would love getting to tell Merlwyb and Novv about it.
