As you step through the door, you can see the bustle of Hillsborough Street through the windows across from you. A comfortable-looking couch sits under the windows, and to its left you see two chairs sitting in front of a desk. Looking beyond the desk, you see that the wall with the door also hosts three floor-to-ceiling bookcases.

The wall behind the desk is decorated with numerous hangings -- photographs, maps, a diploma... On the desk itself are a computer monitor, mouse, and keyboard, a notebook with the title "Gemlog" on the cover, and a box of index cards labeled "Ideas."
