Cray Trek III: The Search for S̶p̶o̶c̶k Silks

Aerial Silk: Wikipedia

My Personal Story

My girlfriend got me to try silks in a private lesson while I was visiting her. I very quickly fell in love with the sensory of it as well as the exercise from it.

So, now that I'm back home in DC I need to find a good yoga studio to continue doing silks at. Google searching didn't work super well for me, so I turned to Lex (a queer community bulletin board platform) ...

Looking for a trans-friendly aerial silk studio.
I took a private intro class while on a trip to my GF and I have GOT to keep going with it.
Anyone do aerial and have suggestions?

Mobtown Ballroom

861 Washington Blvd, Baltimore, MD 21230

I can't find anything about policies on their site. However, I was told one of the aerial instructors are trans and disabled.

$200 for 8 weekly classes

Aerial Candy

The Dance Exchange, 7117 Maple Avenue, Takoma Park, MD 20912

Aerial Candy offers three class levels for silks: 1 to 3 with four instructors. They are also the only studio I've found that openly publishes their waiver and policies. It looks like the intro classes are six students each.

Intro classes are $38 each or $80 for a 3-pack. The other levels are $43 each or $124 for four.

Someone who took their pole and lyra classes called them "very trans-friendly".
