Why I Put So Much Effort Into This Capsule

From the early days of the internet and still today probably my favorite thing is when I accidentally stumble upon someone's amazing little digital homestead. The type of personal website that is clearly a passion project dedicated to all the things that they love, are excited about and want to share. Some that you come across have a seemingly huge amount awesome things to discover and read. That is something that makes the internet like a magical land of hidden treasures. That magic is still there on todays internet even if the gross coroporate hellscape part of the web has drowned it out with the sheer volume of gaudy nonsense.

This capsule is my love letter to that bit of the internet that I so enjoy and my attempt at hopefully being that little treasure chest of curiousities that someone finds and gets joy from one day. I have been a bit surprised at how much fun I've had doing it and also how it has been beneficial in unexpected ways. Sharing my favorite recipes turned out to be useful in that pulling up my capsule is the easiest way to quickly view a recipe I want to make. When someone asks about something I've posted about on the fediverse it's really nice to have an already thought out and organized post I can point them to. All in all it has been and continues to be a lot of fun for me.
