VCV Rack (Modular Synthesizer Simulation)

VCV Rack is a great way to experiment with modular synthesizers and learn how it all works. I've used it on Windows, Mac OSX, and Linux so you have no excuse not to check it out! There is a paid version now (Rack 2), but to be honest it doesn't bring much to the table, especially if you just want to learn or make cool sounds or whatever.

If you want to integrate it into another program as a VST or whatever, check out Cardinal. I use it sometimes to integrate VCV with Logic Pro.
