the comfy side of the internet

recently, i have been revisiting the gemini protocol. i remember trying it out back then, thinking it was pretty cool, but probably something that i wouldn't use everyday. now, i can't help but feel like i was actually wrong.

there's something about small things in tech that makes me really hyped up. gemini, the c language, plan 9, etc. it feels all so elegant and yet so simple, like this is how things should've been in the first place. but alas, that is not how it is.

i just really like gemini. there's people who would question the lack of customizability, inline links, embedded images, audio/video, etc. (which are pretty valid). but i'd say gemini has it's own little nice niche, and like the homepage says, gemini isn't trying to replace http. i think gemini is cool enough as it is.
