The Mrs. and I took about a 3 week break from the gym after being very consistent for some time. I did have a work trip to another state that added to the ease of skipping out on our fitness journey, but I think we were both just ready for a short pause. We got back to it today and plan to get back on track.

My out-of-state trip was more of a vacation for the Mrs. I was tied up all day and since we hadn't gotten to the time where clocks are moved forward the evening didn't afford too many opportunities to do much have eating dinner. It was fine though. She definitely needed and enjoyed a short break from her work routine. We left after she got off work Saturday evening and came back Thursday.

I'm anxiously waiting for warmer weather so I can get back on 2 wheels. I've gone out a few weekends in the past month but had to be bundled up well. It's been difficult to find others in my friend groups to ride.

Work is picking up very nicely which eases the pressure drastically. We still need some 3rd quarter opportunities and definitely 4th quarter, but at least we can be a little more selective.

The Mrs. was off work today, so after easing into the morning and hitting up the gym, we rode to the big city to do a little shopping. We both need some clothes and I was on the hunt for some boots. We didn't find anything that we had in mind to buy with the exception of a wide breamed beach hat for her. Our annual beach trip is coming up soon.
