Captain Calm Scorpion

The Mrs. had off from work today. She doesn't have many Saturdays off. The temperature was forecasted to be in the low to mid 70's. We didn't have any significant plans, but by the same token, we didn't want to squander the time.

She went down to see her friends for coffee and then we both met at the gym for a couple of hours. I usually don't have the opportunity to go on many weekends unless it's during the day since they close at 6pm. I'm also not very "up" for physical exercise at that time of day - but I have to admit it's starting to grow on me. This workout especially was taxing and I felt like I was able to give 100 percent. Afterwards I did some work on the treadmill and then hit the sauna for 20 minutes.

We ate a hearty lunch at home afterwards, and to my suprise, the Mrs. wanted to go for a ride on the bike. It was mostly sunny and about 74 degrees so it didn't take any convincing on my part. We rode for about 2-1/2 hours and got back just as the temperature was starting to lose a degree or two. I think it was around 4:30pm.

We made a good salad for dinner and then just hung out for awhile before bed time. A very enjoyable Saturday.
