My old gemlogs

For a few months during the early days of wide adoption of Gemini, I was pretty convinced I would be keeping my gopherhole as my primary online presence for a while yet. In order to still be able to contribute to the effort to fill Geminispace with worthwhile content, I set up a couple of gemlogs dedicated to single subjects as "side projects" to my phlog. They were:

Hi-ten Heroes, a gemlog about cycling and bicycle tinkering

Corned Beef Sandwiches, a gemlog about the design, implementation and adoption of the Gemini protocol

Three albums per month, a music reviewing gemlog

Nowadays I've collapsed them all into my one gemlog. No posts were removed as part of this transition, and redirects have put in place so that hopefully no links or bookmarks are broken. In the index of the new combined gemlog, I have made some minor changes to the titles of some posts in order to provide some context which used to be implicit at their old home in a single-purpose gemlog, but was now just missing and possibly confusing at their new home (e.g. "July 2020's music purchases" instead of simply "July 2020's purchases" in a gemlog about music). If any early posts in this gemlog still read kind of strangely, especially if they refer to "this gemlog", this is likely the reason.

If you want to, you can still visit the vestigial landing pages for these old gemlogs via the links below. I'm keeping them around mostly because they still provide some context and motivation for their posts, plus the new posts made in the unified gemlog which carry on their legacies. I'm kind of sad there's nowhere obvious to stick that kind of information now, but oh well...
