July 2020's purchases

I bought this month's three albums last Friday, on the last of Bandcamp's three days of waiving artist's fees to help out musicians who are struggling due to the pandemic limiting opportunities for live performance. I don't know if this is a serious problem for any of "my" artists, but giving more to them and less to middlemen always sounds like a good idea to me, so I've waited for these days to roll around.

This month's albums are:

"Dust" by Mt. Mountain

"House in the Tall Grass" by Kikagaku Moyo

"Mechanical Elements" by Expo '70

The decision to buy "Dust" was fairly directly influenced by my unexpected enjoyment of Scattered Purgatory's "Lost Ethnography of the Miscanthus Ocean" last month. "House in the Tall Grass" is my experiment with trying out psychedelic rock of a less synthy flavour. "Mechanical Elements" is a denser, fuzzier, more electronic kind of drone than the likes of Mt. Mountain or Scattered Purgatory.

Reviews to follow, hopefully after not quite as long a delay as last month!
