Thoughts on static site generators for gemini

One of the first things I planned to do with gemini was a static site generator... but then I realized that there isn't anything to generate! On the web you'd have to add header, footers, styles and stuff, but here we have none of that, and navigation is left to the browser (many have an "up one level" feature).

Maybe I'll write a wiki engine then :)

Oh, actually there is one thing for which a static gen would be useful: making a web site, a gemini site, and a gopher site all from the same source.
