A north-east partial halo coronal mass ejection (CME) was observed in the LASCO/C2 data starting at 03:24 UTC on Nov 2nd. A possible source for this eruption could be a plage region in the north-east quadrant near the upper end of a large coronal hole in the eastern hemisphere. Post-eruptive arcade is visible for multiple hours in the possible source region after 04:00 UTC on Nov 2nd. The CME has been detected by STEREO COR2 with a projected velocity of about 250 km/s. Preliminary analysis suggests chances for a possible glancing blow early on Nov 07th. Due to the slow speed of the CME only low impact is expected on Earth with mostly unsettled to active geomagnetic conditions and rather small chances for an isolated minor geomagnetic storm.
