A minor geomagnetic storm is currently ongoing globally since 06:00 UTC today, September 2nd, as NOAA planetary Kp index reached 5. The storm is caused by a high speed stream which is currently affecting the Earth. Locally only active (K-Bel = 4) conditions were observed over Belgium. Further minor to moderate geomagnetic storm conditions may be possible in the next 48 hours due to HSS influence and a predicted arrival of CMEs.
