A moderate geomagnetic storm was observed globally as the NOAA planetary Kp index reached 6- between 21:00 UTC and 00:00 UTC on June 15 and 6+ between 03:00 and 06:00 UTC on June 16. This is the result of the CIR and high speed stream arrival to Earth. Locally over Belgium, only minor geomagnetic storm conditions were observed. Further minor to moderate geomagnetic storm conditions may be expected in the next 48 hours.
