A shock is observed in the solar wind at 03:39UTC on March 15 with solar wind speed jumping from 410km/s to 550km/s and the magnitude of the interplanetary field jumping from 8 to 24nT. This shock might be associated to the CME that left the Sun on 19:00UTC, March 12 following filament eruption in the southeastern quadrant, that was observed on March 12 around 17:45UTC
Geomagnetic conditions have reached moderate storm levels at global level. Further episodes of moderate geomagnetic storming can be expected as the CME passes.
