A moderate geomagnetic storm was observed globally as NOAA planetary Kp index reached 6 between 21 UTC and midnight UTC on Aug 7th. The storm is caused by a high speed stream which is currently affecting the Earth. Locally in Dourbes only active conditions were detected and no geomagnetic storms were observed. Active conditions and isolated minor storms are expected for the upcoming day as the solar wind speed has increased up to 669 km/s with remaining chances for more isolated moderate storms.
