Teletext appreciation thread! I think teletext is a great technology, comparable with Gemini in some ways, and it's nice that it's still around in most of europe! What i like about it: * privacy-respecting: no data is sent as you browse it * light-weight: it's just text! * you can receive it in remote locations

oh god, still absolutely love the super-saturated, super-low-rez pictures that you used to see around there! it's a kind of magic you just can't quite replicate. one of the stations over here still lets you browse it online, but it's not quite the same when it's not on a tube TV with the sounds of whatever TV programme's on at the time playing in the background :(

I sometimes tried to browse unallocated pages just to see the random colors on the screen! Ads on there were/are quite clever too
