Back in Malmö again after a weekend in the cottage. It's my day off and I'm sitting at my kitchen table with my trusty x230 watching the countdown for NASA's Artemis I mission, the maiden flight of the SLS rocket and the Orion spacecraft.

Last week was my first back at work after four weeks of vacation. quite has left for Sicily and will be working from there, the lucky bastard. Instead, another friend has joined me in the office.

It seems like we may have to leave the office earlier than planned. We'll see about that...

Some changes has been done in the hardware/software interface of the secret project so some changes needs to be done in the software. I'm also trying to help with bringup on the real hardware.

On Friday we went visiting the Tykarp cave, which is really an old lime mine

where a lot of bats spend the winter. We also went looking for bats outside in a guided tour with bat detectors.

The mine is much bigger than I thought and very much a labyrinth. Think "You're in a maze of twisty little passages, all alike". The mining guide was rather focused on the children present but it was interesting nonetheless.

Unfortunately the children, the youngest about four--five, were also present during the bat tour. Imagine a four-year-old at nine in the evening. Yeah. Like that. Other than that we saw several bats of at least three different species out of the 19 species present here in the south of Sweden. Not bad.

We brought our chili plants back home. They've been at #1's place while we were travelling to Gotland and Hudiksvall. They have a lot of fruit. A lot! The habanero is huge and every branch really weighted down by fruit. The reaper is not as extreme but plenty of fruit as well.
