My view from the reference desk at work is mostly a computer. That's mostly my view most of the day. I'm not able to use it how I want, as a tool, but rather I'm the tool for the company. It could be worse -- I agree with the library's mission. Still, it's dehumanizing at times. I'm in the machine.
