My friend wanted a light

When I was a student the college bar was also a thoroughfare between the entrance and some of the accomodation. It was only open as a bar for a couple of hours a day, and the rest of the time it was a fairly quiet place to sit. I was playing a tabletop video game there one afternoon when my friend appeared looking for a match to light his cigarette. No luck, I don't smoke. But just then another student that we don't know walks through. An attactive female student. My friend sees an opportunity to not only get a match for his cigarette but also to talk to an attractive girl.

"Excuse me, have you got any sex?

...er, matches?"
